Talent

For talent

You are the delivery specialist. This page focuses on portfolio quality, execution clarity, and how to start live client work quickly with the right Partner.

What Talent is

Talent is the professional who performs the work through the Partner’s account: design, engineering, writing, operations, analytics, or other agreed services. You own craft quality, estimates, and artifacts against milestones the client can inspect.

You earn the Talent share—75% of eligible net proceeds in the pilot—because execution carries the heaviest lift. The Partner (account provider) earns 20% for account stewardship you contractually define together; cotechra retains 5%.

Outcomes we optimize for

Predictable scope

Written statements of work, change requests, and definition-of-done checklists so “small tweaks” do not become unpaid marathons.

Fair review cycles

You receive timely feedback inside agreed windows. Silence is treated as a process problem with escalation, not as implicit rejection.

Career signal

Portfolio-grade outputs, references, and repeatable playbooks you can take with you—subject to confidentiality clauses you read before signing.

What we expect from Talent

  • Ship incremental artifacts on the cadence you agreed; surface risk early instead of at the deadline.
  • Communicate in writing inside the channels named in your contract; verbal side agreements are discouraged.
  • Respect confidentiality, NDAs, and client data handling—even when speed pressure mounts.
  • Participate in dispute reviews with evidence; bad-faith stonewalling is treated as seriously as bad-faith scope creep.

How your Partner supports you

Client-facing coordination

Inside the boundaries you both signed—so you can stay heads-down on the work without guessing client tone or cadence.

Account health signals

Payment holds, marketplace notices, and scheduling constraints routed to you with context—not as surprises the night before launch.

Backup coverage

Plans for holidays or emergencies so you are not the only person answering at 2 a.m. unless you explicitly priced for that.

What strong Talent applications include

Better application quality leads to faster matching and quicker kickoff.

Show one complete delivery

Include one project from brief to handoff. Partners care about finish quality, not just attractive snippets.

Add your working context

State timezone overlap, weekly capacity, and preferred communication rhythm so matching is practical from day one.

Share your estimate style

A short breakdown of scope, timeline, and assumptions makes your application much stronger than a generic portfolio link.

Pilot economics (reminder)

75% Talent / 20% Partner / 5% cotechra on eligible net proceeds after marketplace pass-throughs where applicable. Your agreement defines acceptance and payout triggers.

What strong Talent cares about

Fair economics

The published split favors Talent because outcomes depend on your execution. Exclusivity or rush fees are negotiated explicitly, not implied.

Recourse that is real

Escalation is structured: ticket, evidence, human review, written outcome. Repeat systemic issues trigger re-matching or removal.

Professional growth

We bias toward engagements where you can show public-safe work or anonymized case studies—so your next role or client is easier to win.

Timezone and language fit

Matching considers overlap hours and client language expectations. We decline matches where overlap is unrealistic, even if skills align.

Skills verification

Pilot cohorts may require paid sample tasks, paired code review, or portfolio references depending on category and rate.

Getting paid across borders

You complete payout KYC for your country. We document currency, fees, and timelines before you start billable work.

Where Partners can onboard today

Talent apply from many countries; matching still depends on overlap, language, and payout KYC. Partner (account provider) onboarding is intentionally limited to the markets below while we harden compliance and payouts.

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Germany
  • Finland
  • Israel
  • Italy
  • France
  • Denmark
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Singapore
  • Sweden
  • Spain
  • Ukraine

Not on the list? You can still apply as Talent. We will note if a future expansion could include your region for the Partner role.

You are likely a fit if

  • You have demonstrable outputs in your discipline and can estimate work honestly.
  • You prefer written agreements and professional async communication.
  • You want a dispute path when expectations diverge—not informal chat drama.

You are likely not a fit if

  • You need a full-time salary guarantee from day one—we are marketplace-paced, not a payroll substitute.
  • You cannot provide references or complete skills verification when asked.
  • You want to bypass contracts or invoice clients off-platform in ways that break the partnership rules you signed.

Fast-start timeline (typical pilot)

  1. Day 0–1: Application and portfolio review

You submit work samples, rate expectations, and availability windows. We complete an initial review and ask only essential follow-ups.

  2. Day 1–2: Partner match + scope alignment

You meet a Partner candidate and lock expectations: delivery scope, communication rhythm, and acceptance criteria.

  3. Day 2–3: Contract + kickoff setup

Agreement terms and payout details are confirmed so work can begin without waiting on last-minute admin.

  4. Day 3+: First live milestone

You start real client work with check-ins and documented handoffs. Complex compliance or cross-border cases can take longer.

Apply with portfolio links, rate bands, and time zones. We answer with next steps, a sample task request, or a polite no—with reasons when we can share them.
